The school's surroundings have various spatial functions, which sometimes clash. People are not always aware of their (unsafe) traffic behaviour. The immediate school environment is often unable to handle the large amount of traffic at the beginning and exit of the school. Of course, it is almost always a combination of bottlenecks. This means that in the search for good solutions, different measures must be combined. Cooperation between the municipality, police, schools and (traffic) parents is therefore necessary. However, this is not always easy, as no two school areas are the same. Each environment requires its own integrated approach.
