Specific gravity: 1.38-1.44. Soluble in chloroform, acetone, benene; Hardly soluble in carbon tetrachloride, ethylalcohol and insoluble in water or gasoline.
Application: Can be used as a single accesurlerator, as a secondary accelerator or as a sulphur donor in most sulphur-cured elastomers. Scorchy and gives fast cure rates. Produces an excellent vulcanisation plateau with good heat aging and compression set resistance in sulphurless and EVcure systems. Good colour retention is obtained in non-black vulcanisation. Avaluable secondary accelerator for EPDM. Mainly be used as a retarder in the vulcanisation of polychl or porene rubber with ETU.
