Usage:
As cross-linking agent:
The copolymerization of itaconic acid and vinyl can produce polystyrene resin which has advantages such as light in weight,water-proof, anticorrosion and good plasticity. Filling in glass fiber it can be produced high-strength glass steel. It can also be coated with paper and the back side of carper.

As intermediate if aynthetic fiber:
Acrylic fiber with itaconic acid as the third monomer has such advanges of good feeling and easy dyeing.

Binder material:
The acrylic emulsion of containing itaconic acid is excellent binder of non-weaving fibre. The monomeric PVC binder of containing itaconic acid is good binder of paper and celluloid.
