Primarily established as a professional consultant in certification, TQM rapidly extended its range of services to include other management improving tools, such as Business Process Re-engineering, Six Sigma, and Lean Business.

After assisting Computer Products Asia Pacific Ltd (now known as Artesyn Technologies Asia-Pacific Ltd) in achieving Hong Kong's first ISO 9001 certification and in winning the Hong Kong Industrial Grand Awards in Productivity and Quality, Ir. Dr. Aaron W. K. TONG established TQM in sight of the benefits of quality management to the the success of businesses and the economy as a whole.
