Construction of the oil refinery plant began on 01.01.1963. Our plant that was called “carbon works” at that time and it initially was the part of the oil refinery. It was declared that only young workers and engineers would be running the construction.
The history of our plant comes back to February of 1963, when 70 young workers started construction of the fundaments for carbon works with Kremenchug oil refinery plant.
The construction was boosting. On March the 12th, 1965 the plant was to put into operation and the country received the first 100 tons of Kremenchug carbon. The annual production of carbon black was planned on the level of 94.7 thousand tons.
