Format Limited is a privately owned Hong Kong based graphic design company establihsed 30 years ago in February, 1972. The company's business went through a period of growth during the late eighties with turnover increasing ten-fold and number of staff from 10 to 30. Format's management maintains that a team of about 30 is the optimum size for a graphic design company of its nature as it facilitates effective management over the quality of its creative output while being able to offer a diverse range of design skills and production expertise. Today, Format is the largest graphic design company in Hong Kong specialising in print communication. It is a recognised leader in the industry with an impressive list of long-serving corporate clients. The free thinking, creative spirit is very much an intrinsic part of the corporate culture of Format. At every level, members of Format are encouraged to openly discuss worthwhile topics whether they be job-related or otherwise. This open forum atmosphere helps cultivate a natural interplay of lateral thinking and creativity which plays a key role in the success of client's projects. Format is made up of 28 people. The design studio has a total of 19 staff while administration and client liaison sections have a staff of 9.
